Cake smash

We photographed our first cake smash back in early 2018 and since then they really have became a bit of a sensation. Here at the studio we can facilitate a cake smash with numerous background colours to suit every parent's taste! They're a fantastic way of marking the occasion of a child's birthday. There is no age limit but usually it's to celebrate a first or second birthday. You can book just the cake smash, or while you're in the studio anyway you can add on a portrait session for the child/children/family as well! If you do add a portrait session, we'll do this before the cake smash for obvious reasons! We have shower facilities and a private area where you can get changed and freshened up after the session.

How will my shoot go?

Getting to know you!

Once you've booked in, you will be invited to a consultation. This can be done by Zoom, phone call or in person at the studio. In the consultation we will get to know each other a little bit better and I'll ask some questions to determine what you want from the shoot. If you don't know, that's absolutely fine we can figure it out together!

Cake smashes are always very messy! Don't worry, we have shower facilities in the studio as well as a private changing area. It is recommended that you book the session for around 2 weeks before your child's birthday to allow for editing time.
